Yuvraj review

Yuvraj Director: Subhash Ghai

Yuvraj Cast: Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Zayed Khan, Boman Irani, Mithun Chakraborty, Aushima Sawhney

Katrina looks angelic. Despite the focus being on the three men, she registers an impact. Boman Irani is credible, especially in the scene when he steps out of the Operation Theatre towards the end. Aushima Sawhney is confident. Anjan Srivastava and the pack of villains/vamps look straight out of Ram Lakhan and Taal.
On the whole,      yuvraj is interesting in parts, with the penultimate 20/25 minutes taking the film to an all-time high. At the box-office, the package (a mammoth cast, Subhash Ghai, A.R. Rahman, the stunning locales of Europe) should ensure a hearty opening and with no major opposition in the forthcoming week, it should keep its investors smiling.Yuvraj Movie review

Cast: Surya Siva Kumar, Simran, Divya Spandana, Sameera Reddy and others

Music: Harris Jayaraj

Direction: Gautham Vasudev Menon

Producer: Aascar Films

Vaaranam Aayiram review Vaaranam Aayiram is a typical Gautham Menon film which seems to be pretty close to his real life and has a message at an end. The movie has a three hour long heavy sentiment drama, which has all the ingredients of Romance, love, comedy and at last advocates non- smoking heavily, as it gives a hard slap to all the smokers who can face the harsh consequence of Cancer. Surya is superb and Simran steals the show with her superb acting skills. Read Full Review … Vaaranam Aayiram Movie review

dostana review Recall the ‘Kantaben’ episode in Karan Johar’s Kal Ho Naa Ho. The episode is alive even today, in skits, on stage, amongst friends. That was a mere trailer. Picture abhi baaki hain. Dostana takes ‘Kantaben’ episode to another level altogether.

Dostana is no BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN. It’s not a serious take on homosexuality either. On the contrary, it’s a madcap comedy where two straight men pretend to be gays. Although Dostana is a mainstream commercial film, it dares to push the envelope in its own way. It brings homosexuality out of the closet, gives it respect and dignity and doesn’t treat gays as ‘abnormal’. Read Full review here .. dostana movie review

Sa-Ro-Ja -Movie review

Cast: Vaibhav, Prakash Raj, Srihari, Kajol, Nikitha and others

Music: Yuvan Shaker Raja

Director: Venkat Prabhu

Sa-Ro-Ja is a movie with some tinge into it. It is not a usual commercial movie, but is different in the story aspect. Directed by a Tamil director Venkat Prabhu who is well known for his innovations, Sa-Ro-Ja stands out in screenplay and the way it has been narrated with some thrilling suspense at the end.
